Tanya U Lozano was born in Scotland and raised in Huntington Beach, residing in Orange County ,CA. 

Surrounded by a creative and artistic family, she began her first art classes during her childhood in Japan. She majored in Advertising /Marketing along with photography. 

In photography, which quickly turned into a hobby. “I enjoyed the aspect of developing in the darkroom even more as I had control of the exposure of darkness and light,” she says. Photography led to other creative endeavors. “That is when I found my true passion: painting. 

The shape of clouds is a huge influence as they change constantly and aren't symmetric along with the background of the sunset leaving the contrast of darkness and light.She is extremely observant in details and art risk taker and experimenter. 

She's inspired by Gerard Richter, Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock. 

Her art has depth and complexity created through her multi layering and texture. Tanya Exhibits in galleries, corporate and private collections. She is represented for use in Film, TV, Commercials with several galleries in Los Angeles 

Her style is abstract expressionism using acrylics on canvas.  She specializes in creating commission works to compliment the interiors and a reflection of her client's surroundings.

There are so many colors under the final painting that in different lighting- you can see them PEEK OUT; as there is always another painting lying beneath the finished works. 

.My hope is that viewers will be energized by the colors and textures and be able to connect with them, all that is needed is LIGHT!
